UGC sponsored National Seminar on Mathematics and its Impact on Natural Sciences was organized by the Department of Mathematics, Bangabasi Morning College in collaboration with Surendranath College, Kolkata, during 11-12 September, 2015. Keynote address was presented by eminent speaker Dr. Binayak S. Chaudhury of the Department of Mathematics, IIEST, Shibpur. Among other distinguished speakers were Dr. Amitava Raychaudhuri and Dr. Debnarayan Jana, Department of Physics, CU, Dr. Uma Basu, Department of Applied Mathematics, CU, Dr, Sudip Kumar Acharyya, Department of Pure Mathematics, CU, Dr. Sudip Kundu, Department of Bio-Physics, CU, and Dr. Rishiraj Bhattacharyya and Dr. Guruprasad Kar of ISI. Sharing of knowledge, interactive discussions and overwhelming response of the participants made the two day seminar a successful event.
